I've decided to do an FAQ since I've received similar questions lately. So ask away!
I've thought of doing it over tumblr as well, since I get asked a lot there.

Commissions are closed for now.
Do favourite this journal if you're interested to know whenever I'm opening them again.

Hi! They were open for applicants earlier this year. So I sent in my portfolio and later I was shortlisted and offered a job xD

Thanks for the question <3

Thank you for answering! Ive been wondering for a long time without knowing who to ask ^^;
If you dont mind, this leads me to another question;; how do you start finding out about these card games? I understand most of them are Asia or Japanese based so isn't hard to find through search engine? >_<;

No problem. It wasn't too hard for me to search because I can read katakana and hiragana.
Also, Pixiv is a better place to find more Japanese card game illustrations XD

I really want to ask you if you accept points for commissions. Your art is very pretty and I would be willing to spend like 1500 points for one drawing.

Could you add a price estimate with the sample of the representation? It'll help the perspective commissioner know in advance of which version he'd like to do and it'll save on the Q/A on that.

Huh? I don't really understand your question. Do you mean like I should attach a sample of a full body painting, and then add a price estimate?
Actually I split my categories to bust, waist and full, then I price them according to each category.

Essentially, yes to the first question.

Or rather, based on how you split your categories. Other artists make it visible on the prices based on the style and category.

Oh, actually I've taken down the commission info because I'm closing them for now. I will post the info up whenever I'll open them up again.

I only offer two types, traditional works and digital paintings. As for style type, I find it hard to pinpoint 'styles' from my works. Most of them (I feel) are somewhat in-between and not distinguished enough.

1. Do you have any suggestions as to a less expensive program than Photoshop?
2. Do you have or would you consider creating a tutorial to show your process?

1. I suggest Easy Paint tool SAI. It's a lightweight program that has nice brushes that come with it upon installation.
2. I would consider doing a progress/step-by-step one day. A tutorial however wouldn't be possible as of now. I don't think I have that much skills/experience/knowledge to teach others. Hopefully in the future I will :D

some questions~~

1. where/how did you learn to draw. I guess what I mean, is did you have someone teach you how to paint and draw, or did you just learn by yourself?

2. How long have you been drawing?

Oo could I ask 2 questions? ^^
1. Do you think you've reached your peak as an artist?
2. Do you have a favourite part in the process of doing a portrait?

:iconyume-rie:

1. Most definitely not. I believe learning is a long and neverending process. Art is an extremely wide subject, so I still have a lot to learn!
2. Yes, I like to play with light and shadows in a portrait. Figuring out the way light interacts with the subjects is always fun! I'd like to try something more dramatic one day.
Also, I like to paint eyes. Capturing the expression is a struggle, but I believe the eyes always have something to tell on their own.

Thanks for the questions <3

Do you have any process videos such as speed-paints?
I love seeing what steps artists take to achieve the final artwork ♥

I don't have any process videos atm;; I did try to record once, but it turned out to be too huge or something.
Might record again while doing commissions :D

Thanks for asking!

Portraits might take me 8 - 12 hrs to complete.. Mostly depending on the level of finishing I want to achieve lol. Artworks like the 'Life Tree' piece and my Kingdom Carousel piece takes more than 20 hours OTLLL

Thanks for asking!

If I were to commission a picture, would it be made avaliable so I could order a print of it for personal use? Like, a poster size print?

Hi, I have a couple of questions regarding this;

Firstly, you mention "we" a lot, is this because your class uses the same terms and conditions - if I commission you then the picture would be created by you, right?

Secondly, is it possible to receive the original art file, or is the JPEG the only option?

Thanks,

Alexis.
